Privacy Policy for The Muse Syndicate
A local studio, clear privacy choices. This policy covers the macOS app, this website, and optional support correspondence.
About this policy
This policy explains how The Muse Syndicate handles information in its macOS app, on this website, and when you contact support. The developer is Miguel Rodriguez, based in the Dominican Republic. Contact mrdevstudio@outlook.com with privacy questions or requests.
Your studio data stays on your Mac
Music generation, voice conversion, model training, audio editing, mastering, stem extraction, voice cleanup, video rendering, and supported on-device speech transcription run on your Mac. The app does not upload your audio, lyrics, trained voices, training datasets, or local profile images to a hosted AI processing service.
The app uses local information to provide the studio features you request:
- Profiles: the name, avatar, and other profile details you choose to enter. Profiles are local; no online account, email address, or password is required.
- Creative content: prompts, lyrics, generated and imported audio, recordings, videos, custom models, and training files.
- Library and app records: songs, playlists, project and generation settings, preferences, file references, backups, and diagnostic logs.
These records support your local library, processing, playback, editing, recovery, and preferences. They are not synchronized through a developer-operated cloud service. The developer does not receive or use your local studio content to train a hosted AI model.
Automatic private storage
The app creates and manages its studio folder automatically inside its macOS sandbox. You do not need to name a folder or choose a studio location. Use Settings → Your Files → Show Files in Finder to locate your songs, voices, and training files.
Imported files may be copied into app storage for processing. Exports are saved to the destination you select. Files you export, share, or back up outside the app remain under your control.
Microphone, files, and optional services
Microphone recording requires macOS permission. You can deny or revoke that permission in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and continue using imported audio. Native file selectors let you choose files to import and destinations for exports.
Music models and processing runtimes are bundled with the app and updated with app releases. Optional speech recognition may download language assets from Apple before first use; supported transcription is then performed on the Mac.
If you choose media from a remote URL or follow an external link, that provider receives the connection and request, including information such as your IP address and the requested URL. This does not upload your other studio content to that provider. External services handle those requests under their own privacy policies.
Apple purchases and subscription status
Premium subscriptions, payments, restoration, and subscription management use Apple StoreKit and App Store services. Apple handles Apple Account and payment information under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
The app checks verified transaction information, such as the product identifier, subscription expiry, and revocation status, to determine Premium access. Verified access information may be retained locally so Premium can remain available offline during its valid period. The app does not receive your Apple Account password, payment card details, or Apple Account email address.
Purchases, restoration, and confirmation of renewals require an internet connection. Deleting a local profile, resetting the app, or uninstalling it does not cancel a subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple subscription settings.
Tracking and diagnostics
The app does not include advertising trackers or send usage analytics to the developer. Local diagnostic logs are used for operation, troubleshooting, and recovery; they remain on the Mac unless you choose to share them.
Apple may collect or share App Store, purchase, TestFlight, crash, and platform diagnostics according to the service being used, your Apple settings, and Apple’s policies. That is separate from analytics sent by the app to the developer.
Retention, deletion, and your choices
Your saved studio data remains on your Mac until you remove it. Temporary files and caches may be cleared automatically or through the app’s cleanup controls. You can manage profiles, recordings, voices, training files, library entries, and unused files in the app. Profile deletion removes its records and eligible associated files while preserving shared resources and files still referenced by other profiles.
Use Settings → Manage Profiles and Reset… → Reset the Entire App… to remove local profiles, studio data, caches, and preferences. The app asks for confirmation. Bundled base models are part of the installed app and are not erased by a studio reset. Deletion is permanent where the app explicitly says so; keep backups of material you need.
Uninstalling the app may leave its sandbox data on the Mac. Exported copies, external backups, and files you shared with others are not removed by profile deletion or a studio reset and must be managed separately. Subscription cancellation is also separate from local deletion.
You can revoke microphone access in macOS settings and stop using optional remote media services. For personal information you have sent to support, contact the address below to request access, correction, or deletion. Any applicable privacy rights can be exercised through the same contact address.
Support correspondence
If you email support, the developer receives your email address, message, and any name, screenshots, logs, recordings, or other attachments you choose to send. This information is used to answer your request and investigate the issue you report. Sending support information is optional; do not send passwords, payment details, or recordings you do not want to share.
Support correspondence is retained only as reasonably needed to respond, resolve the issue, and meet applicable legal obligations. You may request deletion at mrdevstudio@outlook.com. Email service providers process correspondence under their own privacy policies. Support content is not used for advertising or to train a hosted music or voice model.
Website hosting and external links
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs and stores visitors’ IP addresses for security purposes, as described in GitHub’s Pages documentation and GitHub’s Privacy Statement. The website does not add advertising or analytics scripts.
Links to Apple, GitHub, and other external websites take you to services operated by those providers. Review their privacy policies before providing information. The developer does not sell your personal information or share your local studio content with advertising networks.
Security and young users
The app uses macOS sandboxing and native permission controls for access to files and the microphone. Protect access to your Mac and backups; no storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
The developer does not knowingly request personal information from children through support channels. If you believe a child has sent personal information to support, contact us to request its deletion.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated when app behavior or the services described here change. The current version and update date are published on this page.
